Sacred Life

about

The opening track on the YD album makes no secret of itself ripping off Uriah Heep in the process. Slow and organ-heavy with an obligatory mellotron. Incidentally it once existed as a 16-minute long track under the name of "Riffkollektivet" but that story ain't really worth elaborating any further. As for now it's cemented as a 4-minute pop-metal piece as which it will remain forever.

lyrics

However deep the feelings
We're only human beings
We're allowed to do things wrong
And thereby move along

Don't bruise your soul with pain
Don't float away in vain
Somehow fear did stop your action
As the mind came along

Only when the thoughts are made for real, then they will conceal
And bring us down to life
Only time can heal, alright
Only in your heart will it be clear
Anything you do will be hailed or feared
But you didn't know how you would conceal, how it meant nothing more

Noone is remembered for
Merely linger round for sure
Things we say and do are taken
As the ones we are known

Robbers steal, assasins kill
Make their livings through their will
Don't come off and claim existence
Justifie how you act

Only in your dreams will it be true, that you're reckoned through
The human that is you
It's defined by all the things you do
Only if your conciense has a go
The you'll realise where your value lies
Life is not alone sacred by your cries, noone cares if you die

Now your heart won't let you live
However much your mind will
But remember this, my friend
What relieves, never mends

Seek yourself a piece of mind
Leave your cruelty all behind
Let go off you feelings, and
Let time take you by the hand
